I knew GFSGL was amazing but…

Monday, June 27th, 2005

this is a bit much:
[0 zerodogg@drizzt shared]$ file /home/zerodogg/.gfsgl/CVS/debug.log
/home/zerodogg/.gfsgl/CVS/debug.log: Apple Old Partition data block size: 21331, first type: ., name: nd:hashall:interactive-comments, number of blocks: 1852403303,
I didn’t know it could create an entire partition out of a logfile.
In other news GFSGL version 0.91.0 (stable) has been released :).

gmDB ported to gtk2 :)

Tuesday, June 14th, 2005

I’ve just uploaded a screenshot of gmDB ported to GTK2 (a screenshot of the old GTK1 interface is available here).
I got alot of help from Chong Kai Xiong, on of the developers of Beep Media Player and there is no way I could have ported it to gtk2 this fast without the help hehe.
It also [...]

School is over

Monday, June 13th, 2005

…not officially this time either though.
Tomorrow we have a «study day», which is just my schools excuse of giving us a day off without actually calling it a day off. then on Wed-Thu I’m going to be in Oslo for the OOo meeting. I’m suppose to go to school on Friday but I’m going to [...]

Webpage up

Sunday, June 12th, 2005

I finally got around to creating a webpage (mind you I am no web designer). It’s available at http://zerodogg.iamaturtle.org/. Theres not too much content there right now (except in Norwegian) but that’s coming.
The page has all of my notes from this year of school available (in Norwegian) under a creative commons license, thus hopefully perhaps [...]

Nexuiz

Friday, June 10th, 2005

I finally finished the nexuiz package! Got Michael to do a patch for it that makes it compile properly and split it into 4 subpackages (one nexuiz, nexuiz-glx, nexuiz-sdl and nexuiz-data). Now it’s time for me to have a break!

Aand I’m done!

Thursday, June 9th, 2005

I just finished the last bit of “real” school work this year! Well…that is, I might still have to do an oral exam, I get to know about that on Monday, however since I’ve already had written exams in Math I can’t come up in oral Math and theres only one other class I can [...]

gmDB CVS and more

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

I’ve committed a (perhaps a bit buggy) version of gmDB to CVS, and updated the goldenfiles project webpage with information about it. It even has a screenshot. I don’t know if it’s still a good thing that when I need some piece of software I end up spending alot more time writing one (or in [...]

New job :D

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

Last week I got a reply on a job I applied for, I got it :).
The job is as a translator of OpenOffice.Org to Norwegian bokmål. I’m going to Oslo next week to attend a meeting before I start. I am one of two new translators (where the other one translates to Norwegian Nynorsk I [...]

Fork it!

Monday, June 6th, 2005

Gmbase is a simple members database written in C that uses GTK. It looks useful for small organizations, such as the local LUG I’m currently the leader of. However it lacked a few small functions, namely support for phone and e-mail entries. I mailed the original author about it, but he told me that he [...]
